Calcium reactor media (for billrob)

Bill heres a great way to save money on calcium reactor media. This is what you want to look for, go here http://www.reefsand.com/ and scroll down to Taiwan Gravel #15 Just looking on line TFP have the #5 size for $15 for 20# bag I would call them and see if they have the #15 size.

This is the exact same stuff as this http://www.aquacave.com/arm-coarse-calc ... -2037.html but you get twice as much for the same price or cheaper.

No. I havent really thought about tracking it. I just fill it when needed. To really track everything the right way i would have to take all the media out and weigh it. Too much of a PITA

Sharpie, line one month how much weight to raise it back to the line?

Sort of off topic but last night I stopped by Jonathan Narrowe's house and he said when he set up his 1000g tank he put 750 lbs of live rock in it, when he recently tore it down the rock only weighed 450 lbs.

He thinks it was breaking down, maybe his reactor was releasing some C02
