Cherry Picking

Postby Barry » Sun Jan 06, 2008 11:45 pm

Yes, we are able to cherry pick our clams for color, pattern and most important health.

After purchasing clams, then we take them to our holding facility and acclimate them and check for snails, and other pest. We quarantine them from 7-10 prior to shipping to our customers and in some cases they do not get shipped for 12-15 days after arrival.

We take care in packaging with heat or cold packs depending on the weather. All shipments are shipped FedEx Priority overnight. We check the weather condition at the FedEx hubs and the destination prior to shipping. We have shipped over 30,000 clams so I think we have our shipping down to a science. :)
