Isn't the lady above will make short work out of any bubble shell?
I think there is a species of bubble shell on the coastal Texas. I was at the Padre Island National Sea Shore a few month ago and see lots of them

She should leave them alone. Unlike octopus species, cuttlefish prefer things without hard shells so hermit crabs and snails are typically left alone (unless they are on the prey item). If she does taste one, she'll quickly spit it out, because bubble shells are toxic.
